Ask THIS question when shopping for a Maine realtor

CJ Dubois-Cote has a pretty revealing anecdote in this video, about her time taking real estate classes a few years back. What one instructor told the students is actually slightly shocking, and you should hear the story. CJ never forgot this incident. It leads to one very important question you need to ask if you’re getting ready to buy or sell a home. Click here and CJ will let you in on this important tip.

Remember, shopping for exactly the right real estate agent is much like finding the right doctor, or the right financial advisor. That’s because this is likely to be a long-term relationship. If you find the person who’s exactly right for you, you’ll probably need that crucial expertise several times in your lifetime.

According to Home Insight, “the typical homeowner sells his or her home every five to seven years and the average individual will move 11.7 times during his or her lifetime. While married couples still comprise the majority of homebuyers (62 percent in 2004), the second fastest growing segment of homebuyers is single women. These women are professionals who are juggling careers, children, and the needs of their aging parents. For both groups, their homes are their largest investment and they are willing to spend a good chunk of their capital to help preserve its value.”

Also according to Home Insight, relocation ranks as the third most stressful life event, behind death of a loved one and divorce. So whatever you do, make sure you interview several qualified realtors, and ask the tough questions. Don’t be shy, this is a business deal. Then hire the realtor who outshines all the others. If you’d like to include CJ’s Team in your review, great!
